[00:00:00] Hello spirit led business friends. Zara your spirit guided business coach and mystical demystifier of all things esoteric and financially gainful. Welcome to the mystical business coach podcast, where I share the most impactful mystical tools like astrology and taro to make planning and running your business more magical, more lucrative, and most importantly, More fun.
[00:00:25] So welcome back everybody. Real talk. I did not always have a great relationship with astrology. And that's because I don't really like it when someone tries to tell me about myself, my reflex is to respond with just by saying like, you don't know me and then yeah. Just kind of walk away. Um, I had a really strong resistance. To the idea that just because of where and what time I was born, somebody could tell me who I am and what skills I have and what my potential is. That felt very limiting and almost like prejudice to me.
[00:01:01] Uh, you know, it's, it's a system where someone would think they knew things about me without actually knowing me. The whole thing of like, oh, they're a Gemini. Well, I'm a whatever. So I guess I can't date them, or I guess we're meant to be best friends or they must be two faced or whatever other dumb crap just felt like. Such a short-sighted way of limiting the possibilities of your life and your connections that you make with people and limiting your critical thinking. In a way that feels just absolutely.
[00:01:31] Agregious. Uh, as far as I'm concerned, any system where you snap to a rule before you use your critical thinking skills, honestly frightens me because although astrology does not discriminate. Or group people according to how they look at, et cetera, et cetera. Um, It can perform a similar function and that it divides us into categories. And then people can project traits. Upon those categories and behave accordingly. And fundamentally that's what racism is.
[00:02:03] And that's what sexism and misogyny and homophobia and transphobia do. That's how they function. They create categories and project traits and encourage people to behave as though those projections were real and it causes real horrific damage. And astrology is not generally used to persecute people.
[00:02:25] Thank goodness. But it's the potential that it has to misappropriate it. Uh, to label people in damaging ways that honestly chills me even thinking about it now. There is something dangerous about it. How many missed friendships? How many years, collectively of wasted time in terrible relationships, how many awful decisions have been caused by people defaulting to an oversimplification of astrology? Rather than using their brains. Actually experiencing and seeing and discerning taking information in, in a given situation and then making a thoughtful decision. I think it's a lot of time that's been wasted, uh, stuck, just defaulting to what you read on an astrology blog. I'm guessing. And that's really wild to me.
[00:03:14] So I actually avoided astrology for a really long time. And all the while I could appreciate the aesthetics and the feeling of connection with astral bodies and the universe. And I really loved like the archetypes and narrative and storytelling. Um, but I kind of appreciated all of that from a distance. And the whole time I was still a taro gal and I mostly use the cards for reflections and helping me think through challenges and sometimes did the same thing. Uh, with friends and the reason why Terrell really stuck with me is because it's so chaotic.
[00:03:48] There's not necessarily any rhyme or reason to the cards you're going to pull in terms of laws or rules or structure. And the very first real Terrell book I bought was a book called choice centered taro by Gail Fairfield. And the whole premise of the book is that taro is never dictating what is or who you are. You are always, always at the wheel when it comes to your fate and your destiny. Basically Gail was like, don't ever let these cards tell you what to do. They are suggestions. They offer guidance, but you can reject that guidance.
[00:04:22] Sometimes the lesson may be that you draw a card that suggests an action that you find you absolutely will not do. And that's a really important moment of recognizing a critical limitation or maybe a very serious boundary that you're setting within yourself, which is cool. Um, so I fucked with that shit really, really hard. Uh, by the way, strongly recommend that you pick this book up again.
[00:04:47] It's called a choice centered taro by Gail Fairfield. Especially if you are as concerned with issues of agency as I am, and as an entrepreneur, I'm going to guess that yeah. Self-determination is probably pretty important to you. So fast forward some years, and it occurs to me that Gail might have more books than I would like to read.
[00:05:06] And what do I find? She has written a tome applying her same choice, centering strategies to astrology. Fascinating. I think to myself because how on earth can assist them that I've only ever encountered as prescriptive. Offer space for choice and self-determination and agency.
[00:05:25] Well, Gail and a number of other super rad astrologers I've come across since are very clear in their work about the fact that when they're talking about someone's natal chart, They aren't telling that person who they are or who they should be.
[00:05:38] They are sharing a profile of the energies that are available to that person, particularly in conjunction with the transits that are taking place now. And the transits honestly were really what drew me in like the weekly, daily transits. I became absolutely fascinated with the idea that I could use the energies of stuff going down in outer space. Uh, as it's happening right now. How can I benefit from those?
[00:06:05] How can I channel those energies into the work that I'm doing and into keeping myself aligned and moving forward. And I revisited my chart with the perspective of looking at it as energies that are available to me. Tools that I have in my toolkit when it comes to navigating the transits that are happening today. And I completely changed my perspective. It feels so much less limiting and so much more empowering for someone like me who refuses to be externally defined. I am definitely going to spend more time talking about astrology and agency over time. But, uh, if this is something that has bothered you in the past as well, I do again, strongly recommend picking up Gail Fairfield's book. Okay.
[00:06:50] So let's get into some transits for the week of Monday, August 12th through Sunday, August 18th. I won't take up too much time discussing the ebbs and flows of the moon. Uh, in general, I'm probably not going to do that because she is a busy lady. She's our satellite. And by far the closest celestial body to our planet, and she crosses our sky with fury. Uh, unmatched for our constant barrage of transits.
[00:07:19] It's fitting that the moon rules, our emotional landscape, because I don't know about you, but it's a constant rollercoaster going on over here, but I do want to acknowledge the waxing. Half-moon that's going to hit exactitude at 11:19 AM Eastern on Monday, August 12th. And the way I'm judging exactitude here is by when the moon forms a square to the sun, which is the transit that creates what we see in the sky. As a waxing half-moon. This half moon is appearing at 20 degrees and 24 minutes of Scorpio while the sun is going to be at 20 degrees and 24 minutes of Leo. Scorpio brings a touch of intensity to the table.
[00:07:57] And Leo brings courage and intention. But waxing half moon speaks to a time when we shift from the waxing Crescent of intention to the waxing gibbous moon of strategy, and even the beginning stages of strategic action. I experienced the moon's energies as having the biggest impact on my marketing. Because the moon rules, emotions, and also social connections as a celestial body aligned with the element of water. Marketing is all about making emotional connections.
[00:08:26] And it's also a very emotional process for me internally involving fear, pride, sadness, excitement. I basically go through every emotion I can think of every time I sit down with my external communication strategy, it's a lot, and I hardly think that I'm alone there. So during this waxing, half-moon I encourage you to move from intention around some aspect of your marketing to active strategizing, and even strategic action steps. I know you've got something you've been wanting to do. And it's just been sitting there collecting dust.
[00:08:58] So jump in, even if you don't feel ready. And that's what the sun in Leo is supporting us to do. This is in fact, a month of great support for taking steps that we don't feel ready for and letting go of perfectionism and then taking imperfect action. And that's your action to take on Monday. And of course you can scale this project to aim for its release. On the full moon in Aquarius that's happening next Monday.
[00:09:23] So it doesn't have to be an enormous push, just something manageable. Um, go live for the first time. Film a video for real, if you haven't done that before, or if you haven't done it in awhile. Announced a product that you're working on, but that isn't done yet just to wet people's appetites and take note that on Tuesday, the moon is going to hustle into Sagittarius. Which will help you further release any stress or perfectionism you're feeling about taking decisive marketing actions. And so you are supported. In getting whatever it is you're working on off the ground. On Thursday, she's headed into Capricorn so you can get your logistics together.
[00:09:59] And on Saturday we arrive in Aquarius and preparation. For launch on the full moon. And see, this is why I don't usually cover the moon because that was just in a week. All of that was happening and I'm not even taking into consideration all the sextiles and the trines and the squares that the moon is going through, uh, with other planets.
[00:10:17] So it's, it's a whole bunch. All right, moving on on Wednesday, August 14th at 11:22 AM. We've got a Mars, Jupiter conjunction coming our way. More specifically for you nerds out there. Mars and Jupiter will be meeting at 16 degrees and 40 minutes of Gemini. The twins sign. This transit is a lucky one. And we love some luck to help along obese.
[00:10:40] That is frankly, going to end on a bit of a challenging note. It's a little foreshadowing there. Um, so let's just soak this in. Mars is active, willful and passionate. And when it links arms with Jupiter, we get a beautiful amplification of that power and momentum, which can be awesome for our ability to get shit done. Mars rules are musculature. And she put her blasts our muscles with like super powered energy that allows you to leap over tall buildings and out fly jet planes.
[00:11:11] You could do anything. Think of this as a midweek kick in the pants to keep us going and expect the results of your hard work to result in some very positive outcomes. This energy is extra supportive for launching in whatever capacity you need to. Although it isn't really supportive of executive function, worth noting. Uh, like ordered strategy and execution.
[00:11:34] It's more like a wave of excitement and energy around some specific project that you just need to ride. It's like a swelling of passion that can even help you take properly calculated risks. If you are risk averse and it's slowing your business growth. And that's something that I've dealt with personally, it's very challenging. This transit is going to help. It asks us to jump in with both feet and then just kind of flow straight into a dead sprint. And it's going to feel fun and juicy, and I love it. Take action by letting yourself get swept up in the middle of this week.
[00:12:07] Get a little carried away. If you feel your passions are swelling. And adding to that Sparky, Mars, Jupiter conjunction the next day, Thursday, the 15th at 1:13 PM. Eastern. The sun is going to try and Kyron with a sun in Leo still, of course, and Tyronn in Aries. Trials are always so awesome. It's just like freely handing out good vibes and opportunities all around the sun is our will. And Kieron the asteroid. Is a healer when it forms a positive relationship with other celestial bodies.
[00:12:44] And when these two powerhouses form a trine, we get a burst of support around finding answers because we are more able to deal with the things that are challenging and really hard normally to get through and to think about and to sit with and to confront. So in that sense, healing can mean internal healing that can unlock professional empowerment and the knowledge that you are a boss and you of course deserve absolutely everything. But healing can also be more directly focused on your business itself. Uh, it can more specifically mean problem solving within your business. So it may sound like an odd question here. How do, how do you heal your business? Well, okay.
[00:13:26] You care for the parts of it that have been neglected that are rundown that are half built. Or that might even be completely broken. So, are there any systems that you put into place that have fallen into some state of disrepair? Or maybe that you started to put into place, but it's not quite there. Or do you need to do some work on your mission, the soul of your business, do the vocal chords of your business. Uh, AKA your marketing efforts and platform.
[00:13:53] Does that need a tune up? This lovely training energy supports you in giving your business some TLC.
[00:14:01] The sun is our vitality. It illuminates, it can help us find what we're looking for. And with problem-solver Kyron, it helps us find the weakest spots in our business where we most need to heal, whether that's a system or something within ourselves. There's a dial signs. This transit is taking place in Leo and Aries joined they're action oriented, courageous forces with the brilliant energy of the sun. To give this time of healing, some serious punch. So you're going to want to lean into this energy as we get into Friday is transit.
[00:14:34] Um, so take this opportunity to take proactive action and find one broken thing to fix just one. And it can be small. Have you been meaning to update an old graphic on your website? Is something fallen apart in your workflow in a really consistent way? Get tinkering. Okay. Time for us to transition into the tough part of the week. The end of this week is a bit of a doozy.
[00:14:57] So buckle up. The first of this 1, 2, 3 punch of kind of whack transits is taking place on Friday, August 16th at 1:30 AM Eastern. So that's technically on Thursday night for mountain and Pacific time folks. When unfortunately Mars in Gemini will be forming a square with Saturn in Pisces. This is a rough one because when the unstoppable force of Mars hits the immovable object, that is Saturn. We have a problem. Let's talk about Saturn a little bit.
[00:15:30] We haven't seen a proper. Saturn transit since it tried the sun, uh, way back on July 10th. And that was a lovely transit. And I actually love Saturn. Saturn gets a really bad rap because its energy is seeing that stifling. Authoritarian constraining, controlling. Um, people see it as a bummer. And it definitely can be if you let it. But it can also be an incredible support. Saturn's energy is extremely important for business.
[00:15:59] It's the parts of your business. That may be your absolute least favorite parts, but those parts are still critical. Saturn is structure. Saturn is time as in the precession of. Saturn is a thorn in your side. If you're feeling stuck in your business because your system suck or if order and precision don't come naturally to you. But saffron doesn't want you to stay stuck.
[00:16:21] It challenges you to embrace structure, to embrace control, and to take ownership of your time and of your business. Saturn is guiding you when you're on your CEO tip. And your executive function is firing on all cylinders. Saturn is taking responsibility, taking the reins and controlling your fate. And that's why I choose Saturn as the planet.
[00:16:43] I feature in my social media, the most and other branded assets as well. I want Saturn's benevolent stabilizing presence to serve as a constant reminder that I can be friends with this powerful entity. Saturn is my collaborator, my advisor, and my right hand. And I'm very grateful for its presence. But Saturn can also be a scooch. Saturn governs delays. When Saturn gets out of control, it can result in impenetrable bureaucracy. So Saturn and Mars can really butt heads.
[00:17:12] Mars is passionate fury and Saturn is attention to detail. Mars is action, movement and bigger. And Saturn is process meticulousness and procedure. And it's worst incarnation. Saturn is the DMV and Mars is running late. So take action by watching out for frustration at the end of the week. If you're rushing forward on the great energy from the beginning and middle of this week, and then suddenly feel like you're coming up against a brick wall. I do not just lower your head and try to bash your way through getting through a Mar Saturn square requires a compromise and it may involve needing to slow your roll. In order to stay on task or to stay focused and productive or to stay safe. Saturn asks us to check our passions for a minute and get a little objectivity and thus begins our journey into a really tumultuous rest of the month. But first let's close out this week.
[00:18:08] Uh, one thing at a time here. And now for our second encounter with mercury squares Uranus in under a month. And now for our second encounter with mercury squares Uranus in under a month on Sunday, August 18th. Interestingly, we just saw this transit on July 21st. When normally we would only see it maybe twice a year and quite spaced out.
[00:18:30] So why are we seeing it again? Because mercury has stationed retrograde and is appearing to travel backwards through the sky, hitting that square with Uranus again, along the way. And unfortunately, what does that mean for when mercury stations direct? Just a few weeks from now on August 28th. It means that we're going to encounter this same transit yet again, about a week after that on September 7th, it is not fun.
[00:18:57] Y'all. Mercury squaring Uranus means anxiety and nervous system activation. So if you've been feeling some extra nerves this summer, you have this quirk of the transits to think, and you're probably going to continue to be in that state of activation into September. Take action by giving yourself a break.
[00:19:15] When you start to get overwhelmed, I'm definitely, I'm definitely very susceptible to mercury Uranus square vibes. So I have had a number of moments where I've gotten so anxious so fast. Just recently that it actually came close to coming out as anger. That is really unusual for me. I am not only intentionally conflict avoidant, but also instinctually.
[00:19:38] And it can actually be harmful because it leads me to do extra work or just straight up hide in order to avoid, you know, hard but important conversations. So that's not necessarily great. Um, but that is not the way that my stress has been manifesting lately. And I think that this explosive energy and that anger. Of Uranus has something to do with that.
[00:20:00] So when I feel like I'm going to pop off, I have been taking a step back recently. I stopped a client call right in the middle. So we could take a 15 minute break so that I could cool off. Sometimes you need to recognize when your emotions are escalating and just give yourself space to come back down.
[00:20:17] All right. The final transit this week is taking place on Sunday as well. At 10:22 PM. Eastern time, the sun is forming a conjunction with mercury at 26 degrees. And 36 minutes of Leo. This transit asks you to take initiative and share your point of view. Prepare to enjoy unusual sharpness of mind with the glow of the sun, breathing extra effectiveness into your thinking. This is true, even during mercury retrograde, although it may mean that rather than your structured thinking, getting that boost. Your creative thinking may benefit more. And that's great, you know, I'll take it. Uh, and this is oddly specific. But you may be a beast with your emails on this day.
[00:20:57] Historically, this transit has conferred benefits to letter writing. So now that energy boosts our ability to blast through our inboxes, this counts for paperwork to basically anything routine that requires some focus in tact, but may normally be super boring or triggering of anxiety, like communicating via email, if you know, you know, and any of that kind of stuff. Um, it's just highly supported. And feels more doable right now.
[00:21:23] So take action by planning on getting some catch-up work done in your inbox or your boring, annoying paperwork or legal matters. Get your tax situation together. Finally get your LLC. Yeah, got to do that. Do the most important, most boring, rubber stamp type thing for your business at this time? Okay.
[00:21:42] Now this conjunction comes with a flip side. Conjunctions can be awesome. And then sometimes they can bite us in the butt. Because mercury, our intellect is being powered by our will. Thanks to bees, sun. Uh, we can get a little wrapped up in ourselves. Caring about yourself, advocating for your ideas. All of this is great and super important, but during this transit, you can tip too far in the other direction and forget how to listen. If you find yourself having a one-sided conversation where you're just talking someone's ear off and having trouble stopping. Make sure you make a conscious effort to slow your roll and check in with the other party. If you get too bogged down in your own internal thoughts, make sure you come up for air every once in a while and take a look around. The sun conjunction with mercury can have us losing the forest for the trees.
[00:22:29] So if you are doing some planning at the end of the week or the beginning of the next, make sure that you take the occasional step back and remember that there is a bigger picture here. That might actually involve taking a physical step back from your desk and taking a walk or finding someone to chat with for a minute to clear your mind. Okay. Ooh, that does it for this upcoming weeks.
[00:22:51] Transits just a heads up that there may be a week or two in the next month that I'm not able to cover, uh, because I'm traveling. And since I just started getting my systems into place for folding podcasting into my workflow, full transparency, I may not be totally consistent until September when we get home and my kid goes back to school and I'll be able to plan things a little better. No matter what you'll be able to stay on top of the transits.
[00:23:13] If you follow my Instagram at mystical business coach, where I do cover the transits weekly, and I'll be able to continue posting those on my travels. I just absolutely refuse to bring a mic with me on vacation. We all need to have boundaries standards. Okay, have a wonderful week and follow my Instagram.
[00:23:30] If you haven't already to stay in the loop
