[00:00:00] Hello, spirit led business friends. I'm Azara, your witchy business coach and mystical demystifier of all things esoteric and financially gainful. Welcome to the mystical business coach podcast, where I share my favorite mystical tools like astrology and tarot to make planning and running your business more magical, more lucrative, and most importantly, more fun. If you're like me, and normal business strategy feels dry and dusty, then take advantage of these juicy mystical techniques that will unlock your motivation and your business's revenue generating power.
Alright.
So earlier this week I shared my first ever podcast episode and there was so much going on astrologically that I talked for an hour and a half just about the transits. Now I am finally getting around to actually introducing myself, now that we've got way fewer celestial [00:01:00] interactions to cover. That'll be taking place during the week of the 29th. And thank goodness, because I don't know about y'all, but this week has been a lot for me. Mostly great vibey energy productive.
Pretty awesome. But wow. I feel a little wrung out. So first I will introduce myself and then we'll get into those upcoming transits.
Okay. My name is Azara. . I use she/her pronouns and I'm a business coach. I'm also a digital product developer of over 10 years and I'm a soul centered, small business owner. I'm also black and multiracial. I am queer identified. I have ADHD. Like a lot of us entrepreneurs. And I am a momma to a four year old at the time of this recording.
So shit's a little crazy. Uh, my husband is an author of tween horror, and he's also a super kick ass copywriter too. His name is Chris . [00:02:00] So check out his books, buy them for the spooky teens in your life. I know you have some and they'll totally love them. , and I grew up a flower child. Totally hippied out running around barefoot. I'm the child of two awesome teachers who raised me to really think independently and follow my own path out in Berkeley, in California and also in Albuquerque New Mexico. I've lived all over the U S and in south India, too, for about a year. And now I somehow live in Pennsylvania. Where fall is amazing and gorgeous and everything I could ever dream. And winter is extremely bleak and sort of the opposite of that. Uh, and I finally have a real backyard for my little horrible struggle garden. Uh, and for romping around with my little guy. Which is great. I'm also an OB a. Practitioner. Which I may talk about. A little more down the road. [00:03:00] Uh, but what you should know for now is that this means that I am very. Scientific in the use of my mystical tools. so I do what works and I don't keep doing anything. That doesn't work. So in a sense, I'm actually very practical and that's why I am so damn good at business.
Woo. But this was not always the case. The world of work was not always my friend and the reason why is because of the very, very bad relationship that I had with money throughout most of my life. So now I'm going to get up on my soap box for a second. Bear with me and talk about why I'm doing mystical business coach. There is one major barrier to business growth and flourishing, and our chosen path as entrepreneurs. , that I've encountered within myself. And also with my clients again and again and again, and that is a trash ass mindset around money.
Terrible. [00:04:00] Uh, I grew up with a very uncomfortable relationship with money myself. Remember how I was raised by teachers in Berkeley. Well surprise. They were hippies. And honestly, I am too. I continue to be. , and what that meant for me. Is that by the time I was a middle schooler, I deeply internalized messages from my environment about equity. Environmental justice, racial justice, radical empathy, you know, all of which I'm really grateful for, but on the flip side, I also ended up internalizing some pretty extreme beliefs around money and ethics. Specifically, I equated money with evil cruelty. Villainy. All the things that are ruining the world, the planet. Our social structures, you know, everything. And even now. After I have done so much work. To heal my relationship with money and I have made. [00:05:00] Really awesome progress. I still have a hard time even saying the word money sometimes. And at the end of the day, That's not good for a business owner. Especially, if you are running your business while trying to raise a child or buy a house or buy groceries or live anything, approaching a stable or. Even, you know, God forbid a comfortable life at this point. My relationship with money was so troubled that I saw wanting money at all as inherently greedy. And therefore as completely antithetical to my values and my dreams of equality for all of h anity. And yet I found myself desperately wanting money and needing it so badly.
As I struggled through college working part-time, struggled through a disastrous a year after graduating, where I couldn't find a job paying above minim wage. And then of course there were the three years of grad school [00:06:00] where I lived firmly below the poverty line on my fellowship of 20 K per year with no family wealth to help float my boat.
Even from my most economically challenging moments secretly. Foraging for bagels in the empty conference rooms. Uh, at the giant advertising agency where I found an internship post-grad school, it still took me about 10 years to be able to look money in the eye, so to speak. And I'm on a mission. To help others. Particularly those of us who were socialized as women. To face money. To make friends with money. And to love the comfort that money brings to us. And that we can bring to others when we are feeling safe, stable, and secure, because guess what? When, hi empathy, humans make lots of money. What do we do with it? We invest it in our communities. We support our extended families, [00:07:00] whether they're blood relatives or our chosen family. We create programs to uplift youth and we otherwise enrich our communities and create real impact that makes the world a better place for the overlooked and the underserved. Like for children and for the elderly.
And, you know, for those of us whose ancestors were completely stripped of their humanity and fought and died for us to have the opportunities that we have now. And for those of us who today suffer higher stress-related illnesses. And mortality rates because just living in the systems that we do. Is very, very hard.
My goal here by launching mystical business coach is to help as many high empathy people as possible, make life-changing money for themselves and world changing money for their communities and beyond. To invest in the efforts that I believe have the potential to save us. [00:08:00] And I'm finally taking my own advice that I give out all the time as a business coach and making change by creating a platform that I treat as a classroom. A big part of this effort is going to be this podcast. Where I'll be sharing a ton of juicy, useful motivating, and honestly, quite fun information and strategies for bringing money into your business and bringing power into your corner so that you can make the changes you want to see in the world. Whew. Okay. All right.
So that's my mission, and speaking of strategies, Why don't we shift gears now and let's talk about this. Week's transits.
All right. I'm climbing down off my soap box.But don't be surprised if you see me up there every once in a while. I got a lot to say. Alright. So remember last week. When there were a million transits and a full blue moon. And because of that, I launched my business, et cetera, et [00:09:00] cetera. It's all kinds of stuff going on. Uh, this week is way more typical. With just three major events going down. Thank goodness. Alright, first up, let's talk about. Venus training Chiron in retrograde.
So Chiron station retrograde on Friday morning, Eastern time. In the . Sign of areas. And I'm talking about this past Friday. So this is an event that I didn't even cover in my last podcast episode because of all the other major stuff going on. And normally I don't clock outer planets and distant celestial bodies stationing retrograde, because they do it all the time.
However, I have the most Chiron retrograde in Aries ass day ever on Friday. As in a client popped off and actually hurt my feelings, which really happens almost never. And it felt personal, but I knew it was [00:10:00] because of the pressure cooker situation they were in. So I was able to kind of reign it in and not really meet that energy. And ultimately everything was resolved and we had a productive meeting afterwards and it was all fine, but damn. Chiron holds the energy of our core wounding. And retrograde creates some conflict and struggle. And then areas is very agro energy in the context of challenging transits and stationing like this.
So there's a little context to help set the scene. For a transit that is occurring this week. And actually provides the bomb to the deep emotional shit. You may have experienced, like I did on this past Friday. So coming up on Tuesday, it's Venus to the rescue. Ooh, this Tuesday, the 30th at 3:54 PM. Eastern time. Venus at 23 degrees and 32 minutes of Leo. Is forming a trine with Chiron in [00:11:00] retrograde. At 23 degrees and 32 minutes of areas still just like on Friday. I cannot think of a better planet to gently. Place its arm. Around our shoulders, as we recover from either our own emotions due to Chiron retrograde. Or being on the receiving end of other's emotions, which can be even harder. When Venus forms a trine with other celestial bodies, she's comforting. Loving.
She offers us the opportunity to do healing work. And when you hear healing, it makes you think, you know, oh, good wounds are bad. Healing is great. I want to be healed. Sweet. Jesus healed me Venus. And healing is good, but Venus can't actually heal you. She simply offers you space to heal. And healing is really hard.
It requires initiative. It requires work. And before you can [00:12:00] even really get started, you have to identify the cause of the wound and why it continues to fester inside you. So let's examine a scenario here. Last year. I had a client who will remain anonymous who'd been working really hard on a super awesome product that was right in her wheelhouse.
And after a lot of work that we had done together, she was finally feeling really good about it and like excited to get it out there. And then she shared an update with her clients where she announced her new product. And one of her clients, who was someone who she knew personally and whose opinion she really cared about, that person responded to this announcement by telling her that her idea was. Essentially silly and her announcement had come across as inauthentic and salesy, and even went as far as to cast doubt on whether she would actually be able to provide the results she promised. [00:13:00] Which like as a side note, she had already achieved results for clients doing this very thing, which is why she was creating the product in the first place. And the worst part about this was that it came as a complete surprise. Because everything had always been great with this client and she could not figure out why they were lashing out at her about this.
She even reached out to them to see if she could get more information. I'm a client wasn't able to clarify what it was exactly that felt inauthentic to them. And ultimately they ended up just kind of blowing her off. And like, ouch. Right? To be completely honest with you. I've been through situations like this too.
And it really, really hurts when someone who you respect and who has shown you nothing but respect. Comes at you angry about something and can't even really tell you why.
And so my client was left feeling totally deflated about her new project. And all those feelings of imposter [00:14:00] syndrome and insecurity and anxiety that we had worked really hard to dismantle when she started working on the project. It all came flooding back to her at once. So. How do we heal when a client or collaborator lashes out and it's a surprise. Let's ask Venus. Venus is not a, suck it up.
Just get over it type of planet at all. Venus wants us to heal by remembering our value. As business owners, we spend a lot of time fussing around with the value of our offers, the value of the services. We provide the products we build, how to communicate that value to prospective clients, et cetera, et cetera. But the most important part of our business that we often neglect to appreciate the value of is ourselves. So when Chiron retrogrades in areas and the people we work with, or for go on the offensive. [00:15:00] It can be really easy to default to mirroring the way their words and actions make us feel. You may find yourself saying things like, You know, maybe they're right.
Maybe I'm no good at this. Maybe I never should have struck out on my own, you know, questioning why you're doing this questioning, why you even thought this was possible. You know, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. The spiral goes on and on. And of course at the very bottom of it sits that awful empty little thought. Maybe I'm not enough.
And Venus is here to remind you that bitch. Yes you are. And guess what? You're more than enough. And then giving us this important reminder. Venus unlocks Chiron's ability to heal. Rather than to deepen harm. Chiron can actually be an incredible problem solver. And asks us to face feelings of being not enough in order to come up [00:16:00] with a plan for addressing the conflict we're in or to recommit, to holding an honoring our boundaries. To keep others words. From having any impact on the esteem that we hold ourselves in.
Those are two different things, the way other people feel about us and the way we feel about us. Two different things. Most important is how we feel about us. So Venus trending Chiron is good vibes. And, yeah, let that transition soothe you on this Tuesday. Uh, here's a way that you can take action. To really capitalize. On this energy. Remind yourself of your value.
Let me ask you a question. Do you currently have a place where you keep track of your professional wins?
If not, you need to create one. And get started by listing as many wins as you can. And a win here means something you did that resulted in a positive outcome, whether it was for you or for a client. [00:17:00] This is not a list that you're creating for public view or marketing purposes. It is just for you. You don't have to curate it like it's testimonials or anything, you just need to figure out what do you feel really, truly proud of? What change did you create and what impact have you had?
And so big or small, just add it to the list and keep adding to it over time. Uh, revisit it. Anytime you need a reminder of who you truly are. And if you're running your own business, That's probably going to need to happen a lot. So this is a really good practice to establish. Just FYI. My collection of wins is called my juice file. Because going through it makes me feel. Juiced. So there you go. You can steal that name if you want. You're welcome. Okay. Moving on to Friday for our second to last noteworthy transit of the week. Yeah. I told you this week was slow. And I needed it seriously. Okay. [00:18:00] So Venus, just give us a moment of recovery and comfort and soothing support at the beginning of the week. Very lovely, but in classic fashion, the cycling of the planetary bodies, just like the cycling of our internal emotional states. Is always ready to serve us up a challenge. So on Friday, August 2nd, at 9:27 AM.
Eastern time. Venus is going to form a square with Uranus. And to be a shade, more specific for you nerds out there. Venus will be at 26 degrees and 53 minutes of Leo. And Uranus will be at 26 degrees and 53 minutes of tourists.
So archetypally. Venus and Leo is dramatic. Magnetic. And flamboyant. I love all of these things for us. But this combo can also yield arrogance and egoism, especially if we allow the challenge of the squared nature of this relationship with Uranus to really get to us. Uranus is [00:19:00] about innovation. Non-conformity exceeding limitations.
The element of surprise. It is an awesomely important player in astrology for business. When you're in, ingressives into Taurus, the most notoriously stubborn side of the Zodiac, it can create energies that help you break out of harmful cycles through persistence and grit. , it can help you shatter limiting structures and beliefs. Uh, create opportunities for your vision to come together in the future through consistency and other super rad stuff for entrepreneurs. But there's a conflict that's inherent to this relationship where Uranus is our nervous system and it can be erratic. And Taurus is all about consistency. Quite the opposite. Uh, irrational stubbornness can be the result of bringing these energies together. Which is one of the most harmful ways we can go about our business, where we dig in our heels without justification. [00:20:00] Perhaps for emotional reasons rather than good business strategy. Have you ever done that? Did it work out well? Yeah, didn't think so. So Venus in Leo squaring, Uranus in Taurus can cause energetic outbursts as we seek stimulation. Oftentimes that's in the form of stirring shit up with other people and it can lead to impatience, hot headedness and this kind of you're wrong.
I'm right. And that's the end of it type arg ent that doesn't actually resolve problems. It's just us airing out our messed up emotional state and making it someone else's problem.
My advice here is: don't undo the hard work you did earlier in the week. With that loving and supportive avatar of Venus by picking fights or allowing others to pick them with you. That will take you right back into the pits with Chiron in retrograde. So shut that shit down. Shut it down. You do not need that drama right now. [00:21:00] And yeah, so Venus squaring Uranus can be a tough one, but as with any square, it offers a profound opportunity for growth. And in order to access that opportunity. This transit demands that we lean into the healthy aspects of these planets to get through the struggles we face. So that's love. Empathy and kindness from Venus. And flexibility, creativity. And openness from Uranus.
So here's how to take action. Are you facing a conflict with a client, a partner, or a collaborator? First off if you are. I am so sorry to hear that. And unfortunately it is the nature of working together with others that it's just going to happen sometimes. And here's what you can do right now to help fix it. First figure out what's triggering you about this. When they criticized you, what was it about? If it had a big impact on you and made you feel upset. Why. Do [00:22:00] you actually agree with them? If you did make a mistake and they're mad about it. Is it really a disaster? Are there options here for recovering from that mistake or miscommunication? Or are there opportunities presenting themselves that may help you figure out a way to move forward?
These are all really important questions to ask.
As you're starting to look inward and do the work to figure out. Why this is so triggering for you. And now you can start to do some Venus Uranus work. We're going to practice radical empathy.
Take a deep breath and forgive everybody. Forgive yourself. If you fuck something up that's life, it happens. Forgive yourself for defaulting to self criticism. Over standing up for yourself. I feel that, you know, that should happens to. Forgive, whoever you're in conflict with for reacting emotionally and remind yourself that they aren't perfect [00:23:00] either. And are doing the best with the tools they have.
Just like you. That doesn't mean that you necessarily need to forgive and forget. Put it all behind you and just not worry about it anymore. This is important that this happened and that you were made to feel this way. And so you might decide that this client or partner isn't a good fit for you. And in that case, you do what's best for you and end that relationship. But in the meantime, practicing radical empathy can help you keep the context around these conflicts.
Top of mind. So that you don't take personally what they say. That hurts your feelings. And do the work to protect yourself against internalizing it. So that's some tough work, but it's really important.
All right. To close out the week. On Sunday, we have a new moon taking place in Leo. The new moon marks a time for manifestation work. For calling things [00:24:00] forth from the ether. It's a beautiful time for looking forward and thinking about what we want in the future. And it's important to remember here that the moon rules, the realm of our emotions. And yes, thanks to the moon and Venus.
This is an emotion. Heavy week. Uh, so when we do manifestation work with the moon, it's important to remember that we aren't like just putting a picture of a convertible up on our vision board. That's not the work here. We are taking this moment to do the internal emotional work that transforms the beliefs that we hold about ourselves and our power. Which then reshapes the actions that we take to ensure that they are in alignment with our goals and the values that we hold as our highest selves and those actions yield the income or revenue stream that allows us to then quite literally. Manifest that convertible. Or the change in our [00:25:00] community.
Thanks to the investments we make. Or we manifest the ability to provide care. For the people who we love. And that's how magic works. The subtle rules, the dense. Our energetics. Our internal emotional landscape. That is what drives the action and behavior that shape our world.
If we want to make magic happen. If we want to make our dreams come true. Dreams of financial stability, fulfillment in our work of commanding the capital that allows us to uplift the voices of the underrepresented. If we want to change the world, it starts with the internal work. Simone gray soul. Uh, who is a coach whose work I find extremely inspiring as a coach myself recently said something to the effect of. You don't manifest things. You manifest yourself. Manifestation is the practice of calling forth [00:26:00] your most aligned. Most action-oriented least apologetic self from the ether and channeling her power to get shit done. And what a perfect moment to do that. Leo is these a diagonal archetype that embodies courage? So why do we need to dedicate special time to doing all this emotional manifestation work?
It's because it's really, really hard. It takes conviction, bravery, uh, and even sacrifice, especially sacrifice of our comfort zones and our avoidance tendencies, which we hold very dear to ourselves, right. To protect ourselves from things that are hard. So Leo is here to give us the boost of courage that we need to do the hardest work. That internal work.
Here's how to take action. Think of one action. That would be an exact reflection of what your most aligned most courageous self would do. [00:27:00] Do you have a sensitive conversation? You've been avoiding. What would manifestation you do? Have you been putting off promoting a new offer? Because a little bit of that self-doubt is creeping in what would manifestation you do? Here's a hint manifestation.
You would start with the emotional work. So ask yourself. Why are you avoiding things or putting them off? What is it about that activity or action? That is making you feel scared. What do you stand to lose? If you keep up with this behavior? What do you stand to gain? If you turn things around and just do it. I challenge you to find your best reason. For why you're avoiding this issue. And if it's fear-based, I challenge you to channel Leo's courage and to do it anyways. And after you perform that action. Reflect on how it felt to do something that was 100% aligned with what you want. Let [00:28:00] yourself bask and reflection. About how it would feel to live courageously 100% of the time.
All right.
Thank you so much for joining me today and I wish you a beautiful week. Please take a moment to rate my podcast with five stars because that's going to help me with visibility as I get things off the ground over here. And if you haven't already.
